An Incalculable Loss 5/24/2020

The front page of Sunday’s edition of The New York Times is a full page, text-only obituary for some of those who have died from COVID-19, with the headline “U.S. DEATHS NEAR 100,000, AN INCALCULABLE LOSS”. Almost a thousand names grace the front page, with short “phrases that depicted the uniqueness of each life lost.” Some of these made me smile, some of them made me sad; I encourage you to read some of these little phrases yourself and reflect on our collective loss. And please stay home this weekend.
