MiceChat has the breaking news on Shanghai Disneyland is reopening on Monday, May 11th. A few things about the announcement caught my eye:
Advance reservations and dated tickets will be required, as they’re trying to significantly control crowds.
Guests must wear a face mask during the entire visit, except when eating. I’ve never been to Shanghai Disneyland, but do they have food carts scattered around the park? If you stop for a churro, can you remove your face mask while walking around? Or do the customs and norms of China not allow this behavior?
No parades or fireworks, again to reduce crowding, and no character meet-and-greets, but characters will appear “in a new way” in the park.
You can get more details on the park reopening and the Disney Shareholder Conference live on MiceChat.
